Recognized Childcare Providers

A recognized childcare provider is a person who holds a permit issued by the Ministère de la Famille or is recognized by a home childcare coordinating office.

A recognized childcare provider must meet certain obligations, particularly in terms of children’s health, safety, well-being and development. It must also comply with service quality standards. Compliance with all these regulations is subject to verification by the Ministère.

In Québec, educational childcare services are offered by three types of recognized childcare providers:

The Ministère de la Famille has designed a logo that allows parents to clearly and easily identify recognized childcare service providers.

This logo reflects the Québec government’s priority with respect to ensuring the quality of childcare services. It stands as evidence of the network's commitment to providing a healthy and safe living environment where children can flourish.
