THE MINISTÈRE DE LA FAMILLE'S 2012-2017 STRATEGIC PLAN: A CONTRIBUTION TO MAJOR GOVERNMENT PRIORITIES
The Ministère ensures consistency in the government's actions toward children and families. In this respect, it is responsible for developing and implementing policies, programs and measures that meet their needs.
In an effort to create conditions that are conducive to helping families to thrive and contribute to children's development, the Ministère's actions focus primarily on:
- ensuring the accessibility and quality of childcare services
- reconciling family and professional life
- supporting partners working with families and children
- improving available information pertaining to family assistance, making it simple and accessible.
The Ministère is determined to fully exercise its leadership using its expertise and innovative actions to mobilize its partners for the benefit of children and families and to shine a light on family politics both in Québec and worldwide.
The Ministère has three major strategic orientations:
Orientation 1: Fully capitalize on the Ministère's intervention levers in order to provide families and children with services that are adapted to their needs.
Orientation 2: Consolidate the services offered to families, supporting innovative, concerted solutions and promoting them.
Orientation 3: Target effective methods that are adapted to the needs of clients and partners, but also beneficial to employees.
