Nominations for the Award

Nominations are submitted using the form designed for this purpose. The members of the judges’ panel analyze applications using this document. The information presenting and highlighting the nominee's achievements and actions—along with related impacts—must therefore be clear, specific and exhaustive. Otherwise, the form may be returned to the sender, particularly to obtain the information needed for the deliberations.

Individuals, organizations and schools may nominate themselves.

Individuals, organizations and schools may be nominated by another person, a group of people or an organization.

For nominations in the Individual category, it is imperative to have the potential nominee's consent and cooperation if he or she did not submit the nomination. For this reason, the proposer shall confirm that the nominee has been notified of his or her nomination and has agreed to the process.

Nominations may include support letters and complementary documents (maximum of five) to show the impacts and reach of the actions and achievements (media coverage, publications, etc.).

Any application that is not retained may be resubmitted in a subsequent year.

Content of the nomination files:

Individual category

Nomination files submitted for individuals must include:

  • the nominee's name and contact information;
  • the name and contact information of the person submitting the application and confirmation of the candidate’s consent (if the candidate did not submit the nomination);
  • a detailed description of the achievements contributing to preventing and fighting bullying, project steps, means deployed, etc.;
  • a detailed description of the scope of these achievements (benefits, number of people affected, etc.);
  • one or more support letters;
  • any other document deemed useful (media coverage, congratulatory letters, etc.).

Organization category

Nomination files submitted for organizations, including higher educational institutions (colleges and universities), must include, in particular:

  • the nominated organization's name and contact information;
  • the name and contact information of the person submitting the application;
  • a detailed description of the actions taken, project steps, means deployed, etc.;
  • a detailed description of the effects (benefits, impacts, number of people affected, etc.);
  • one or more support letters;
  • any other document deemed useful (media coverage, congratulatory letters, etc.).

Academic environment category (school, school service centre and school board)

Nomination files submitted for schools, school service centres and school boards must include:

  • the name and contact information of the school, school service centre or school board;
  • a detailed description of the actions taken, project steps, means deployed, etc.;
  • a detailed description of the effects (benefits, impacts, proportion of the clientele reached, number of people affected, etc.);
  • one or more support letters;
  • any other document deemed useful (media coverage, congratulatory letters, etc.).
