The parent who signs the Subsidized daycare service agreement is the one who is required to pay the basic contribution and the additional contribution, where applicable.
This applies to daycare service agreements prescribed by the Ministère de la Famille (agreements signed between parents and a childcare centre or subsidized day care centre) and to daycar service agreements not prescribed by the Ministère de la Famille (contracts signed between parents and a home childcare provider).
When they sign the service agreement, parents, whether they are together or separated, may decide how to divide between them the number days for which the basic contribution per child must be paid. Where applicable, each parent will receive an RL-30 slip with the number of days of childcare for which they had to pay the basic contribution.
